To establish the earliest appropriate
return to work opportunity and determine the most appropriate
return to work goal quickly. To help the employer uncover
ways to modify or provide alternate job duties whenever
possible to maximize their use of the injured worker.
To get the release to work from the treating physician.
To achieve return to work for the employee to reduce
their personal costs of disability. To restore the employee
to their highest level of occupational functioning and
get them out of the "system". To ensure that
the employee has every reasonable opportunity to benefit
from services and return to suitable employment.
To achieve these goals and objectives
Excel undertakes actions designed to maximize success.
When possible Excel will develop a plan of action that
seeks to return the employee to work with the same employer
via a RU-94 formal offer of work. We work closely with
the employee, employer and treating physician to study
the physical demands and other essential elements of
the job. We facilitate the decision making and documentation
needed to secure a release to return to work in full,
modified, light duty or alternate work.
Sometimes the only route to return to
work is through formal services to develop the best
plan for the individuals success in returning to work.
To avoid those "unforeseen circumstances"
that could require costly modification, extension or
change of plan.
If skill acquisition is necessary for
return to suitable work Excel will ensure that the training
program chosen will fully prepare the employee with
the skills needed. Once the employee is ready to seek
employment Excel will involve them in a very structured
and intensive job placement program. This includes interview
preparation and practice as well as tireless job lead
production that will keep the employee busy and lead
to ultimate success.

Work is that which helps define the individual
and provides the most appropriate means of self support
and independence. It is how we organize our lives and
at least partially fulfill our sense of purpose. It
invigorates the individual and the socio/economic development
of society. Conversely, it is not healthy for an individual
to be unnecessarily dependent upon a disability system
and not working. We will do whatever we can to help
individuals achieve maximum self-support. We are here
to help restore work to those who have lost it. For
those who can work but are alternatively motivated we
will provide every opportunity to succeed but will not
enable the maintenance of dependence on the "system".
The overall cost to them and to society is too great.
Our professional staff has many years
of experience with return to work in industrial settings.
We have helped some large corporations develop comprehensive
disability management programs that incorporate ADA
and worker's compensation guidelines. We understand
the complexities of managing the return to work benefit
in worker's compensation. Our staff can help you coordinate
"in house" the delivery of return to work
benefits anywhere around the country.
We have a well developed set of quality
service delivery guidelines that we use to evaluate
ourselves and staff. We take great care to effectively
manage each and every case for optimal success.
Excel can supply data on its cases automatically.
We can customize reporting and data collection to meet
your needs for information on such things as: case status,
actions taken, case costs, results, etc.. Such reports
can be valuable information in monitoring cost and result
outcome.
