Excel uses its own proprietary web-based application, eManagedCareSM, to process all utilization reviews, support all case management functions and for the creation and dissemination of all letters, notifications, and reports. The storage of all documents related to utilization review and case management is managed via a LaserFiche™ licensed document management system that is fully integrated into eManagedCareSM.
eManagedCareSM; offers clients access via a password protected portal to view, copy or print utilization review and case management information on any case. It provides a multitude of ad hoc reporting capabilities. We have developed electronic data interfaces with other claim management software and bill review providers.
Data security was a high priority when designing eManagedCareSM. Excel has co-located its servers and virtualization infrastructure at secure site operated by a cutting edge provider. It is located in Sacramento and provides precision-controlled, managed, redundant environmental systems, 24x7 power back up systems for all our equipment – no downtime or disruption due to utility power failures or black-out periods, state-of-the-art dry-pipe, pre-action fire suppression – no losses due to fire. Safety standards are compliant with Sarbanes/Oxley, HIPAA, SAS 70, etc.
